Sorry, I can't give you a good review. During the inspection, you stated that you couldn't inspect the AC because "running air conditioning during cold weather can damage the unit and it was not tested" (see the report). The inspection was done on 1/6/2024. Now when time came to turn the AC on, only the fan functioned. It cost us $3,700 to fix it. The home insurance only compensated us with a drop in the bucket ($75).

I had hired Ralph to inspect a property at a couple of day's notice during a national holiday and he was able to make time despite having prior plans for a trip out of the city. Unfortunately I had to reschedule the day of and he kindly accommodated my schedule still.
During the inspection, he respectfully ensured he took his shoes off while patiently and diligently carried out his work in the premises. He carefully explained any potential challenges, the type of workmanship conducted historically and recently, as well as any regular maintenance that would be required.
I'd definitely call on him again if needed.

Ralph was just a pleasure to work with. I didn’t have an agent to represent me in my purchase so I needed an expert I could trust. I contacted him on a Wednesday and requested a Friday inspection. The report was in my hands by Sunday. He is super responsive via text/phone/email at all hours of the day. On the day of inspection, he showed up 5 minutes early and conducted a thorough inspection of the place and pointed out any areas of concern. Nothing escapes his expert eye! Awesome service!!! First of all I want to start with saying purchasing a home is stressful!!! Ralph made me feel more at ease when he did my home inspection. Very professional and explained everything in detailed. He even gave me advice in what to do if certain issues may occur as time passes after I purchase my home. He took the time to speak with all parties on what needs to get fixed. He addressed the issues and concerns to the contractor in a professional manner, even when the contractor felt otherwise, Ralph was professional about it. I'm a first time home buyer and there's a lot I don't know or understand. Ralph broke everything down and answered my questions and concerns after sending me my report. The inspection report is very detailed with photos supporting each comment. The report has a table of contents for me to look at. I would definitely recommend him!!!

Ralph’s knowledge of old Brooklyn brownstones is superior. Twice he has seriously helped me out and he is always on the money. Speaking of which, you will save money if you listen to him. He is patient, kind and funny. He probably can solve some problems on the phone, and he is probably often right. Besides that, he is one of the good guys!

It was great working with Ralph. He was very knowledge and easy to communicate with during the inspection. I found that he was very good at explaining the issues he found in layman terms. He was able to pinpoint the issues which needed to be fixed immediately vs. areas which would need potential maintenance later down the line. It was very easy to schedule an appointment and he was the only one who was able to accommodate a late afternoon inspection. I received the inspection report in less than a day with all the things we discussed during the inspection. His pricing was also very reasonable given the size of the property. Highly recommended!

Ralph was so helpful with our new construction inspection. He patiently explained what items we should ask to get fixed within our contract, and which might need a long-term fix to watch out for. His report was so thorough and I particularly appreciated how he marked the issues with painter's tape, which helped us see everything at once and prioritize what to include in the contract.
